Biography

Inspirational Sounds formed in December 1999 in Bradford, UK. We performed our first session that year at Checkpoint Community Centre using some of the bounciest decks and jumpiest CD players known to mankind!

Early in 2000 we began a monthly Dub and Drum n Bass session alongside Bradfords own DnB warrior DJ Kingston. It was at this time that the crew hooked up with formidable singjay Dan-I.

From then on the crew has gone from strength to strength with wicked outdoor sessions alongside Underground Roots Sound in Colne (Lancs UK) and Scotlands Wickerman Festival (on the massive Axis Sound System).

In 2002 we started Dub Lab our monthly roots / dub / jungle session at Bradfords New Beehive and theres been no looking back since. Guests have included Vibronics, Iration Steppas, Nucleus Roots, Alpha & Omega, Digikal Roots Sound + DJ Gypsy, Axis Sound System, DJ Fingers Mikey Rebel & Power FM Massive, Cojo Mr P & Bushrocker Sound Crew, Underground Roots Crew feat Dan Man & Bongo Chilli, Simon Scott, Stokes Twisted Breaks, Bass Generation Massive, Londons DJ Intra, Operation Sound and many many more.

We also have a selection of Homegrown Dubplates that guarantee to mash up the dance floor of any Steppas session all brewed in our own Dub Lab Studios. Collaborators have included Iration Steppas, African Herb T and many local musicians.
